Vintage Artley Elkhart Flute – Sterling Silver Headjoint – S/N 46583
This is a well-preserved vintage Artley flute from the early 1960s, made in Elkhart, Indiana. It features a sterling silver headjoint (engraved) paired with a traditional nickel silver body and footjoint.
Features:
• Serial Number: 46583
• Headjoint: Sterling silver
• Body & Foot: Nickel silver
• Key System: Standard closed-hole, offset G
• Pads: Vintage-style, in playable condition
• Condition: Some cosmetic wear and tarnish from age. One small key cap is missing (see photo), but this is a simple and inexpensive fix and does not affect overall playability. Mechanically, the flute is still in playable condition and sounds great.
This flute is a solid example of early American flute making — responsive, with a warm tone from the sterling head. A reliable choice for students, collectors, or anyone who loves the sound of vintage gear.
