About this listing
Seymour Duncan SA-3XL Adjustable Woody, Black Pickup
The SA-3XL Adjustable Woody is a magnetic soundhole pickup engineered for acoustic players who need reliable amplification without modification or permanent installation. Its adjustable pole pieces and hum-canceling design deliver articulate, balanced output across the entire neck, making it equally effective for fingerstyle passages and rhythm work.
Design & Installation
This pickup mounts instantly into any standard soundhole measuring 3.75" to 4.0" in diameter with zero guitar modification—simply position it and play. The black stained housing blends aesthetically into the instrument, and removal is equally straightforward, leaving no trace of installation.
Tone & Electronics
The hum-canceling stack design with two fully shielded coils eliminates 60-cycle noise common in live and studio environments. Double potted construction resists feedback while the shaped magnetic field ensures even response across strings, with articulated chords and clear single-note definition at moderate output levels. The included 14-foot low-capacitance studio-quality cable terminates in a standard 1/4" connector.
