MARSHALL JCM 800 MASTER MODEL MK2 50w LEAD 2204 GUITAR AMP HEAD 240v. GOOD TO VERY GOOD CONDITION. USA EXPORT MODEL.MADE IN THE UK 1989. SERIAL NUMBER X19534. QA STICKER CONFIRMS 1989 BUILD. ORIGINAL DRAKE TRANSFORMERS and CHOKE. PREAMP TUBES 3 x CHINESE ECC83M. POWER TUBES are 2 x SOVTEK EL34. BIASED AT 445PV and 30mV.THERE HAVE BEEN MODS ADDED TO THIS 2204 over TIME. THE FIRST SEEMS TO BE A SOLDANO 6C10 V2 valve MOD in 1991 as inscribed on the chassis by J.LONG. This looks to have been later removed and the V2 12 pin socket replaced with a 9 pin socket back to 2204 spec. NOT a TECH. I will list the MODS that I have observed and researched online.V1 101K CAP 100pF across PIN 1 and 3 – GAIN MOD.V2 COUPLED RESISITORS and 222K 630v ORANGE CAP across Pin 1 and 6.C3 0.022uF to 0.0022uF 630V to reduce some bass tone to tighten up the overdrive.C6 800k CAP added.C7 C9 C11 C12 C14 C16 0.022uF upgraded with Vintage 400v CDE Cornell Dubilier BROWN DROP CAPS.C17 0.1uF upgraded with a 600v BROWN DROP CAP of unknown origin.R1 2.7k to 68.8k.R5 470k to 343k.R6 10k to 800k.R29 10k to 20k.NO SCRATCHY POTS DODGY SOCKETS OR BROKEN SWITCHES. EVERYTHING WORKS THE WAY IT SHOULD.AMP HEAD with cord WEIGHS IN AT 19.1 KG.
