Wizard Instruments Vector Filter
Its is a Dual-Peak filter comprised of two 4 pole filters (SSI2140).
The Y axis is a low pass Vector Response knob when the Vector Response knob is set to Y, when it is set to X/Y the X axis becomes responsive changing the filter response to a dual peak band pass.
The frequency spacing of the the two peaks is determined by the position of the joystick.
This will give a unique filter effect. Vocal like effects are easily created.
Will self oscillate on high resonance.
External 6.35mm expression / CV pedal and 3.5mm CV input jacks.
The Expression pedal / CV input has an attenuator.
Easy integration with modular or VC analog equipment and synthesizers.
Incredibly useful and a lot of fun.
It can function as a frequency booster with excellent results picking out and boosting selected frequencies. The spacing of the frequency position set by the joystick can act as a 2-band EQ with a 'width' control. A truly useful tool for creating unique tones and also making an instrument stand-out in a mix , especially in a live situation.
The uses of the filter range wide from creative to practical.
There is an Input drive level attenuator so it can be used with any signal input, guitars to synthesizers.
Requires 9vdc psu (not currently included) Higher voltage up to 24v is fine and will give more head room.
Handmade, currently there are only 2 available so they will be rare.
