This is a very nice and rare Hofner S7B Razorwood bass guitar crafted in the mid to late 1970's in Germany.
It's used and shows a lot of scratches and wear but is fully functional and in very good overall condition for its age. The main issues to be mentioned are one crack on the body (see photo), the loose pots and the 3 different pot knobs.
It features a solid mahogany body with a great shape and a glued in neck, a single pickup with volume control, and active electronics operated by a 9 volt battery. It has a three-way selector switch which allows the pickup to work as a humbucker, single coil or out of phase. The other controls are an acoustic filter and a bass boost. The fingerboard has 20 frets. The headstock has four on a side Schaller tuners and the ''Hofner'' logo on the truss rod cover.
This bass looks, feels and sounds great!
