Hamer Sunburst SB77 (1 of 9)

This is a trully exceptional, rare and collectible instrument. Hamer Sunburst reissue from 1999 in pristine condition. This model (SB77) is a limited run, made special for Hamer Fan Club event in year 1999. Quote from Hamer Fan Club website:

"The HFC guitar for this year was a reproduction of the original Sunburst– flat front with maple, binding, gold hardware, and the original string-through-body bridge. Frank Rindone said there were nine of them."

This is 1 of 9 guitar. My friend, who helped me to by this guitar, compared it face to face with original 1979 Hamer Sunburst, and this reissue guitar was much better in terms of sustain, overall sound and playability.

Speaking about playability – this guitar has been played very little due to its collector status. Therefore the frets are in excellent condition and the action is low.

Sound is very thick and musical, thanks to great quality tone wood and pickups. You can hear this guitar on a YouTube video.

Specs: mahogany body, flame maple top, 3-piece mahogany neck construction, rosewood fingerboard, mother of pearl inlays, bound and crown.

Bridge pickup – WCR Godwood. This is by far the best hot P.A.F. I’ve played. And I’ve tried many pickups. It’s both warm, powerful and with clarity and high end.

Neck pickup – Seymour Duncan 59n. Classic choice.

Cosmetically there is only 1 small flaw - "hamer-itis" on lower part of top, can be seen on picture. It very common for Hamer guitars. Otherwise - guitar looks like new/mint.

This guitar is dear to me, but I am selling it because it sits under my bed and I cannot play such pretty and collectible instrument. And I’m a superstrat kind of guy, tbh. Although it’s the best sounding guitar I had in over 20 years.
