Dawson 6 String Banjitar Ganjo 12” Custom Handmade Banjo

It plays just like a guitar but sounds like a banjo with all of the “cut through the mix” punch and volume that you would expect from America’s original stringed instrument. If you are used to playing an acoustic guitar this thing will blow your mind, seriously! Banjos trade off sustain for punch and volume and this one has both in spades. Speaking of spades, check out the custom inlays on the fretboard, each one is unique. Loaded with high-end features like a solid maple rim and neck, Gotoh tuners, Ebony fretboard and heel cap, brass ring (for tone) and beautiful herringbone marquee inside and outside the rim cap. About the builder: Mike Dawson, an exceptional clawhammer banjo player, started building instruments in 1992. Shortly thereafter he met Fort Wayne luthier John Miller and absorbed John’s innovative and eclectic style of building. He attended the Galloup School of Lutherie and is well-known for his custom built banjos, resonators, and guitars using the best quality woods and expert craftsmanship.
