Blending boutique craftsmanship with real-world stage demands, the Suhr Pete Thorn Signature Traditional 90 in Trans White is the kind of guitar that immediately feels like an extension of the player. Built around a resonant swamp ash body and finished in a lightly aged lacquer, it delivers that unmistakable vintage S-style vibe while quietly packing modern refinements that working musicians rely on. From the moment you pick it up, the roasted birdseye maple neck with Pete Thorn’s 60s Soft V profile invites effortless movement, while the 9"–12" compound radius and jumbo stainless steel frets make everything from open chords to soaring bends feel smooth and precise.
At the heart of this instrument is a pickup configuration that redefines versatility. The custom PT90 bridge pickup offers a unique voice—punchy and full like a P-90 but still articulate and clear—perfectly balanced with the vintage-inspired V63 single coils in the neck and middle. Whether you’re chasing glassy cleans, gritty blues textures, or driven rock tones, this setup responds with clarity and dynamic range, all while Suhr’s SSCII system keeps unwanted hum completely out of the equation. It’s a guitar designed not just to sound great in isolation, but to sit perfectly in a mix and inspire confidence on any stage.
Every detail, from the Suhr 2-post tremolo with bent saddles to the locking tuners and premium gig bag, reinforces the idea that this is a professional-grade instrument built without compromise. It’s a modern player’s take on a timeless design—refined, reliable, and endlessly expressive. Whether you’re a gigging musician or a tone enthusiast looking for your next centerpiece, the Pete Thorn Traditional 90 stands ready to elevate your playing experience, and it’s available now at Haggerty’s Music.
