About this listing
Here for sale we have a Rickenbacker 360/12 12 string semi-hollow electric guitar in Jetglo finish. Made in the USA in 1997, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a Maple body, 3pc Maple/Walnut neck and 24 fret Lacquered Rosewood fingerboard. Chrome hardware is fitted including an 'R' tailpiece, 6-saddle covered bridge & Schaller sealed tuning machines. A pair of Rickenbacker Hi-Gain single-coil pickups are installed, and are wired to a 3-way toggle switch, independent volume & tone controls & a blend control. The Maple neck plays very well, with a rather substantially-sized profile which might be described as a 'D' shape. Whilst certainly a deep profile, the nut width is nice and narrow for a 12 string. This makes the guitar feel more like a 6 string, meaning that you can reach tricky chord voicings and play lead lines with ease. The Lacquered Rosewood fingerboard is a rather unique feature of Rickenbacker's which provides a smooth and durable paying surface. The nice compact body keeps the weight low and provides a comfortable playing experience in both standing and seated positions. The pair of Rickenbacker Hi-Gain single-coil pickups installed in this guitar deliver the bright, jangly tones which are sought after by so many. Both the neck and bridge positions are clear and articulate, capturing all of the nuances of your playing and the full range of all 12 strings. The neck is slightly rounder, helping you to blend into the mix. The bridge is of course brighter, and delivers a tone which easily cuts through the mix to put your playing front and centre. The stereo output allows you to route your signal in a multitude of ways, perfect for creating unique soundscapes. The on-board controls offer comprehensive control of your sound right on the instrument. All aspects of the headstock demonstrate light scratching, only visible under direct light at certain angles, as is common on gloss finishes. The front face demonstrates light indentations between the G and B winding posts and towards the top. The top edge demonstrates light scuff marks that could not be removed during our cleaning process. A finish crack is apparent to the bass side of the cutaway which has not gone through to the wood and poses no scructural instability.Neck: Overall very good condition. The rear of the neck demonstrates light indentations, most notably in line with the treble side of the 10th fret, which has pierced but not removed the finish. The fingerboard demonstrates light scratching, only visible under direct light at certain angles.Body: Overall very good condition. The front face demonstrates light scratching and indentations, most notably a small scratch at the tip of the treble side horn, with indentations at the treble side waist, treble side of the tailpiece and above the strings behind the bridge. These markings have pierced but not removed any of the finish. The rear face demonstrates light to mild scratching throughout, with an indentation at the lower bout binding revealing the wood beneath in a small area. The sides demonstrate light indentations throughout, with yellow discolouration to the binding near the strap button, and dark discolouration and scuffing near input jacks. Light finish cracking is apparent between the heel and top of the rear face, with part of the binding being chipped away. This is due to differing expansion rates of the woods and poses no structural concerns.Condition of Frets:The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability.
