Mahogany body with AAA curly maple topThe body, made from solid mahogany according to the classic recipe, provides the resonant basis for the tonal character of the instrument and features classic Paula contours. Gibson USA Burstbucker Pro pickups with flexible wiringThe Gibson Les Paul Modern Figured draws its tonal versatility from its two humbuckers and the underlying wiring. In the neck position, a Gibson USA Burstbucker Pro provides warm and vocal sounds, while the Gibson USA Burstbucker Pro + at the bridge provides enough steam for hotter rock and metal sounds. The push/pull function of the two volume controls can be used to switch both pickups separately to coil tap mode for airy, clear sounds, while the two tone controls can be used to activate either phase inversion or bypass mode. The latter removes the entire wiring from the signal path and connects the pickups directly to the output socket.
