One of 500 manufactured in the late 60's, this rare piece was originally wired stereo but modified to mono by its original owner. In 1980 the mono preamp was enhanced with an FET transformer to eliminate the radio reception. It uses a 9 volt battery to boost the output, but can be operated without the battery given a healthy gain availability on input. Any competent electronic tech can revert it to stereo pretty inexpensively. The original soundboard was replaced by the first owner. but the soundboard it has now has travelled from Ohio to Boston and back without any problems, (always transport on its side). Several strings have been recently replaced and all are working. The legs have been repaired for renewed stability and reinforced with large washers to prevent future such instability.
