Concert body shape offers balanced projection with focused midrange detail

Natural finish delivers a clean traditional acoustic appearance
The Yamaha FS800 brings Yamaha’s respected acoustic design into a smaller concert-style body that feels comfortable, balanced, and highly approachable for a wide range of players. Its solid spruce top produces articulate projection and responsive dynamics, while the compact body shape creates a focused tonal response that works especially well for fingerstyle playing, lighter strumming, and vocal accompaniment.
Yamaha’s scalloped bracing enhances resonance and warmth while maintaining excellent note separation and clarity. Compared to a larger dreadnought body, the FS800 offers tighter low-end control and a more balanced overall response, making it an excellent choice for players who prioritize comfort, articulation, and musical detail.
The Natural finish keeps the look classic and understated while allowing the craftsmanship and wood character to speak for themselves. Whether used as a first quality acoustic guitar or a dependable everyday songwriting instrument, the FS800 continues Yamaha’s reputation for consistency, comfort, and long-term reliability.
