Overview

The Focusrite OctoPre MkII is an 8-channel mic pre with 24-bit/96kHz outputs via ADAT optical, and is a great way to expand your interface or digital mixer for more mic inputs. -10dB pads on every input make it easy as pie to track an entire drum kit played as loud as thunder, ensuring you don't clip on the way in. ADAT optical/lightpipe outputs let you take advantage of your interface's ADAT inputs, which would typically go to waste otherwise. Analog outputs are also provided on the rear panel to send a direct feed to a mixer for zero-latency monitoring, and these also come in particularly handy when recording live shows. Simply send your feed to the front-of-house console -- no need for two sets of mics on stage.
