About this listing
Full frequency response - Sounds Excellent with a hot signalNew foam installedDiaphragm/capsule is in excellent shape - Any debris has been removed to ensure full response as wellComes with compatible mic clip (not pictured)For sale is an Electro-Voice RE55 from 1976 in excellent health with it working exactly as it should! Inside the grille, the foam was carefully cleaned out and replaced as well. While replacing the foam, the capsule was inspected and found to be in excellent health with no signs of wear and tiny debris was also removed. With the new foam installed and that debris carefully cleaned out, this microphone can last the new owner another 50 years with some care. The only caveats with this RE55 are some wear and tear to the finish, which are fairly common but there is also an engraving which is not a deep one. If you care about function, and don't mind a bit of story/history to microphone, this should not be of much concern. If you've been looking for an RE55 that requires zero work before use, make sure to grab this one!
