Rarer first edition. I‘ve owned both the original VLA and the VLA II and the main difference I’ve found is that the original VLA is much grittier sounding, works great on room mics while the VLA II is more smooth and I prefer to use it while tracking vocals (a light 3-5db gain reduction)This is the US version. I’ve been using it perfectly fine with a step down power transformer which I’ll include with the compressor. Thanks for looking.
