Perhaps Gibson's most aesthetically pleasing achievement… Released in 1958, its center block and humbucker pickups were designed to eliminate the feedback problems of the Kalamazoo brand's large hollowbody guitars. This isn't a standard Dot model, but a very rare Diamond: its f-holes are borrowed from the Trini Lopez. Also noteworthy is the superb White Pearl finish and the presence of a Bigsby vibrato! The mahogany neck with a '59 profile features a 12-inch radius rosewood fingerboard, the body is laminated maple, and the whole guitar weighs 3.87 kg. As for pickups, a pair of Classic '57s are on hand, and the potentiometer knobs have been replaced. In very good condition, sold with its original case.
