Here for sale we have a Gibson Custom Shop 1960 Les Paul Standard Reissue Electric Guitar in Cherry Sunburst finish. Made in the USA in 2012, this guitar comes from Gibson's finest builders in their custom shop to recreate one of their most iconic iterations of the famed Les Paul model. Of course featuring a set-neck construction, this instrument comprises a Mahogany body with Carved Flame Maple top, Mahogany neck and 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard with Pearloid Trapezoid inlays. Nickel hardware is fitted including a StopBar tailpiece, ABR-1 ToM bridge & a set of Gibson Deluxe tuning machines with Keystone buttons. A pair of Gibson Burstbucker humbucking pickups are installed, with a BB1 in the neck & a BB2 in the bridge. These are wired to a 3-way toggle switch & independent volume & tone controls. The Mahogany neck plays beautifully, with the Slim Taper 60s 'C' profile filling the hand nicely for a substantial and vintage-inspired playing experience. The profile has nicely rounded shoulders which ensure comfort across the register. Certainly, the neck is generously proportioned and produces a unique sensation when compared with modern Gibson neck profiles, making this instrument feel special. Other more familiar appointments include the Rosewood fingerboard with 12" radius which is practical for a wide range of styles and techniques whilst providing a pleasant and tactile playing surface.Amplified, the pair of Gibson Burstbucker pickups deliver warm, thick & full bodied tones, just as we expect from a 1960 Les Paul. The Burstbucker was introduced in the early '90s as a faithful modern recreation of the legendary PAF humbucker, the pickups make use of AlNiCo II magnets, unbalanced & un-potted coils, just as the original PAFs did. This makes them uncannily similar in tone and produce an authentically vintage sound. Indeed, the neck position is round & warm, making lead lines sing through the mix. Light scratching is present to the front face of the headstock, these can only be seen under direct light.Neck: Overall very good condition. Very fine scratching is present to the rear of the neck, these can only be seen under direct light and can not be felt in the playing position. A light factory imperfection is present to both sides of the 19th fret inlay, this can be seen at close scrutiny and can not be felt.Body: Overall very good condition. Light marking and residue is present to the bottom edge of the body, this is consistent with past use of a strap. Light scratching and indentations are present to all aspects of the body, the most apparent indentations are present to the edges situated mostly near the input jack. The most apparent scratching is present to the center of the rear face, this is consistent with buckle rash from past use.Condition of Frets:The frets demonstrate mild signs of use, not affecting playability. Denting and flattening of the frets is apparent throughout the register. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.Current Set Up:Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (5/16" socket) not included.Hardware: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the metal hardware display moderate tarnishing and oxidation of the finish, this is most apparent to the pickup covers, bridge and tailpiece. Light scratching is present to the truss rod cover.Structural: No concerns or issues to note.Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2mmPlease be aware that the action on a guitar may move slightly in transit and this measurement is the current height.Strings on Guitar - 10-46Electrics: Fully functional.Case & AccessoriesGibson hard case.Overall excellent condition and fully functional.
