Fender Stratocaster 1967 (rare year for CBS)In very good condition for its age. 1967 Stratocasters are rare as this year had the lowest production figures of Stratocasters for CBS.The guitar sounds and looks amazing.The guitar was previously used and owned by one of Rod Stewart's guitarists, who bought it from a previous guitarist with David Bowie.Original:Neck, tuners, frets (Neck is dated 13 Sep 67B on heel)13 = Stratocaster rosewood neck (not 13th)B= normal thickness of neck (A was thinner and C and D fatter)Body - original sunburst in very good condition for its age with minor marks and original sunburst fadePickupsAll original black bottom pickups commonly seen during 1967 as Fender (CBS) used up old stock - black bottom pickups are considered the bestAll solder joints for wiring are untouched along with 3 way selectorPots all with code 137 66 (1966 from CTS) - CBS bought a large stock of CTS pots in 1966 which were used on Stratocasters right up until 1969.Original neck plate 203 xxx - Original pickguard - great patinaOriginal knobs - great patinaOriginal Fender Case - with old spare stringsThe above suggests that this guitar was completed late 1967 - when Jimi Hendrix was at his best !
