About this listing
Clearance Sale on Long-Term Display Models! Made in 2022, featuring a vintage style with a 9.5-inch fingerboard width! The predecessor to the current American Vintage II. Rather than explicitly specifying "'56" or "'57" models, this Vintage Line series is finished with iconic 50s specifications. The body is made of alder, characterized by its firm midrange. The neck is maple with a thick "Soft V" neck shape. It feels relatively substantial even when compared to the current American Vintage II. The fret size is Vintage Tall. While the standard model typically comes equipped with a "Pure Vintage '59" pickup, this one features an original "Pure Vintage '57." I checked the soldering and found no issues, so this may be an irregular variant. Since the current American Vintage II model also uses the "Pure Vintage '57," this one stands on its own merits. The body has wipe marks, scuffs, dents, and paint chips. The pickguard has faint picking marks. There is a faint, small impact mark on the top of the body, next to the pickguard between the front and middle pickups. There is a small paint chip and a scuff on the right side of the body near the waist. There is minor paint chipping and a scratch around the 6th string horn. Additionally, there is a strap scratch around the strap pin at the body end. There are fine scratches on the lower edge of the body back, and a small impact mark on the upper left edge. The hardware shows only slight tarnish and no noticeable signs of wear. The neck is in good condition, and the truss rod can be adjusted both ways. There are no string marks on the frets, and about 80% of the original frets remain. The current string action is set to approximately 2.0 mm on the 6th string side at the 12th fret and approximately 1.5 mm on the 1st string side. Overall, while there are some scratches, small dents, and paint chips, there are no noticeable signs of wear. The sound is brilliant yet rich and full-bodied. Upon closer inspection, the paint chips actually look cool and clearly show just how thin the finish is. Ifd love to play it in more to make it look even cooler!
