Pearl EP 402 tape echo

Japanese tape delay, based on an 8 track cartridge with looped tape.

With one replay head, it’s clearly not as sophisticated as Roland or Korg delays of the era, but the sound is there.

Variable motor speed principle rather than clunky variable spacing of the repro head of some 70’s japanese tape echoes, like Evans.

Performs solid and reliable, no speed odd variations, heads cleaned. Pots are not scratchy. Ready to make some music.

Faceplate is clean , tolex also. Overall good condition, except a bit of oxydation on the back metal plate.
