Greco Super Power Les Paul Tobacco Sunburst 1981

The Greco Super Power series represents an important chapter in Greco's early-1980s lineup, produced during the period that established the brand's reputation for exceptionally well-made Gibson-inspired instruments. Built in Japan in 1981, this model captures the look, feel, and tonal character of a classic Les Paul while showcasing the craftsmanship that made Greco one of the standout manufacturers of the era.

A mahogany body paired with a maple top provides the familiar Les Paul recipe of strong sustain, rich midrange response, and excellent note definition. The set-neck construction contributes to a lively, resonant feel, while the rosewood fingerboard offers a smooth and comfortable playing experience.

Finished in Tobacco Sunburst and complemented by gold hardware, this example has the visual presence of a higher-end Les Paul-style instrument. The warm burst finish highlights the traditional styling while the gold appointments add a touch of vintage luxury.

The original Greco humbuckers deliver a classic late-'70s and early-'80s Japanese PAF-style voice: balanced output, clear articulation, and enough versatility to cover everything from blues and classic rock to heavier driven tones. Like many Grecos from this period, the guitar responds exceptionally well to volume and tone adjustments, making it an expressive instrument both clean and overdriven.

A genuine early-'80s MIJ Les Paul that has been played and enjoyed over the years, offering vintage character and proven reliability in equal measure.
