Slingerland - No. 838 Rocket Drum Throne 1960 - Chrome/White Seat
The Slingerland No. 838 Rocket Throne was introduced in the late 1950s and cataloged through the 1960s. It was part of Slingerland’s hardware lineup designed to match the Radio King and Artist drum sets of the era.
Marketed as a “deluxe” throne, the Rocket got its name from its streamlined, flared-leg base that resembled a rocket tripod. It was Slingerland’s answer to the need for more durable, comfortable drummer seating during an era when most thrones were still basic stools.
This one is in a little scuffed and scratched but remains in 100% functional condition. No holes or tears in the seat fabric. Nothing broken, missing, altered or damaged. White seat with a mount on the bottom for a backrest.
