Full size German violin, labelled: “Louis Lowendall, fecit Berlin. Anno 1895 (Lowendall logo)” with inside signature on the back and on label itself, branded with Lowendall logo on the button and “Berlin” just below. Recently put back to ideal playable condition, fine Ebony English style tuning pegs, Wittner tailpiece with four embedded adjusters, comfortable Berber style Ebony chin rest, fitted with new Thomastik-Einfield Dominant string set, new Aubert fine bridge, newly fitted soundpost. All perfectly working, ideal for advanced level. The instrument is in very good condition, the body has no fracture at all. Wear and tear can be seen on the instrument as would be expected from a fiddle that old ! Very well preserved instrument considering its age. Sold with antique black coffin shaped case, but please if you require a new one ask me beforehand I can provide any range of new cases starting from 30£.
