About this listing
Up for sale is a beautiful Martin D-16 GT acoustic guitar made in U.S.A.This model is highly regarded as the "working man's HD-28," offering that legendary, rich Martin tone and powerful dreadnought projection without the premium price tag. This guitar features a solid Sitka Spruce top with a glossy finish (Gloss Top), paired with gorgeous solid Mahogany back and sides (satin finish). The combination delivers booming, deep lows, scooped mids, and crystal-clear highs—perfect for flatpicking, strumming, and vocal accompaniment.Top: Solid Sitka Spruce (Gloss)Back & Sides: Solid Mahogany(Satin)Bracing: Hybrid 'X' ScallopedNeck Shape: Modified Low Oval (very comfortable and fast)Nut Width: 1 11/16" (42.8 mm)Scale Length: 25.4"Fingerboard & Bridge: Black RichliteThe guitar was mislabeled by Martin because it says D-16 RGT on the label but the "R" means rosewood except that the back and sides are clearly Mahogany. So it's a Martin D-16 GT. Personally I prefer the sound of Mahogany so it never bothered me. The guitar is in very good condition. It has been well-cared for in a smoke-free, humidity-controlled environment. There are some pick scratches on the top, some dings, please see photos because they are part of the description. Overall a played but loved guitar. The action is low and comfortable, checked by a professional luthier and the neck is straight. The guitar ships with it's original Martin hard shell case Worldwide shipping, please ask for exact quoteFeel free to message me if you have any questions or want more photos.
