JM Signature Strat with beautiful African Rosewood neck. That wood can no longer be shipped in raw form to the US.Fender John Mayer artist series Stratocaster finished in classic Olympic White. A highly desirable and collectible signature guitar in excellent condition for age, with just a few minor signs of use as pictured. John Mayer has earned a lofty place in contemporary music as an acclaimed modern Stratocaster master, and this signature guitars combines features from yesterday and today into a versatile modern Strat model that sings as soulfully as Mayer himself. It has a modern feel but a real vintage vibe. It was built to John Mayer's specs, including an Alder body with no back plate. The Maple neck has a smooth satin finish and an African Rosewood fingerboard. With a 9.5" radius and 21 frets, this Stratocaster can handle anything you throw at it without even breaking a sweat. It's supremely comfortable and well balanced. The slightly larger than normal 'C' neck profile takes this into another realm of comfort. It has a 6-saddle American Vintage synchronized Tremolo and Fender Vintage-Style tuners, guaranteeing a solid and dependable experience no matter how hard you play. With a trio of highly desirable Big Dipper single coil pickups it delivers all the sweeping, versatile tones you would expect from a Strat. These pickups have a special scooped midrange and have been specially voiced to match JM's demands.It comes with extras! Installed the following and improved the quality and the tone in spades. Bridge plate was changed to a Wudtone CP vintage 50s. This keeps the guitar in perfect tune with whammy bar usage. Mfg. in the UK. Saddles changed to Highwood HG contoured vintage saddles. Mfg. in the Netherlands. Block changed to a Callaham vintage enhanced model. Mfg. in US. This was highly polished prior to install. Tremolo Springs changed to 5 RAW vintage. This increased the unplugged volume and helps to hear the great woody tone come through. Will ship in a Nash Guitars Custom Alligator Teardrop Strat Hard Case. This is a great high quality case that does not take up as much room if you intend to gig with this fine instrument.All the original parts come with the guitar. The results of the changes are a phenomenal sounding and playing guitar. It comes with several Callaham tremolo bars and those tremolo springs everybody loosesā¦True rosewoods (Dalbergia species) are heavily regulated, and Bubinga (Guibourtia) is frequently used as a premium, legal alternative. However, because of over-harvesting, select species of Bubinga are monitored under CITES Appendix II to ensure sustainable trade. I donāt think you will see guitars with rosewood like this in the future.It is not illegal to own or sell rosewood within the United States. However, harvesting, importing, and exporting the wood are heavily restricted by the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES) and enforced by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS).
