Fender Custom Shop Vintage Custom 1959 Stratocaster NOS – Chocolate 3-Colour Sunburst – Excellent Condition *Private, insured collection is welcome!*For sale is my Fender Custom Shop Vintage Custom 1959 Stratocaster NOS in the stunning Chocolate 3-Colour Sunburst finish with rosewood fingerboard. This is the nicest guitar I’ve owned - extremely resonant acoustically, lightweight and very lively in the hands. It was a present to myself for turning 30 and for getting married.The Chocolate Burst finish looks especially good in person and changes character depending on the light.This guitar has been used at home less than 20 times - due to a newborn and house move - and is in excellent condition throughout, with only minimal signs of handling. It has spent the vast majority of its life safely stored in its original Custom Shop case in a smoke-free home.Note that this is a pre-COVID and tariff Fender Custom Shop with build quality thought to be higher than current versions.An outstanding example of the Vintage Custom series - resonant, lightweight and extremely playable, with all the warmth, clarity and dynamic response you’d expect from a great ’59-style Strat. The Chocolate Burst finish looks superb in person and gives the guitar a slightly more understated vintage aesthetic than a traditional bright 3TSB. This is finished in flash coat lacquer from the Custom Shop.The neck feels fantastic in the hand, the pickups sound beautifully articulate, and the guitar rings acoustically exactly as you’d hope from a quality Custom Shop Strat.
