Lefty Kit Bass - Prototype #2 - New Perspectives Music

Over at my website and YouTube channel, I get a lot of visitors who want to build their own instruments, so I've created some DIY plans, templates and video content to help. But some people just want to play cool and unique instruments, right? I bet that's you!This is the prototype bass guitar I made to assure the plans I sell work.

The end result is this really cool left-handed bass (and a right-handed version also for sale). I will more than likely never make another like it, because it is a prototype and not a part of my product line. I seriously discounted the price so you can own a truly one of a kind instrument for less.

Specs: This is a 34" scale, 16" radius bass with a 1.5" nut and standard bridge string spacing. The neck is slightly chunkier than a J, more like a P but with a J width.

The neck and fingerboard are made of locally sourced hard maple. The body is made from reclaimed oak butcherblock table top. This one features an active EMG system. Check out the video demonstration.

I will be making more basses similar to this (check out my Lutes line) but not this particular body shape as the Lutes is similar, so this is really a limited opporunity (well, also a limited opportunity for a lefty. Check out that listing, too).
