Zildjian Avedis 18” Thin Crash

For sale is a classic 17” Zildjian Avedis Thin Crash from the legendary A Zildjian series, made in the USA from professional-grade B20 cast bronze.

This is an older-generation model featuring the traditional black Zildjian logo and classic Avedis markings.

Sound & Characteristics

Zildjian describes its A Thin Crash cymbals as bright, responsive and fast-opening, with a full, shimmering sound and a smooth, musical decay.

The thin construction allows the cymbal to open up effortlessly, even at lower playing dynamics, producing an expressive crash with excellent sensitivity and a natural balance between attack and sustain.

At just 1,222 grams, this particular 17” example offers a lightweight feel and quick response. Compared to larger Thin Crashes, the 17” size typically provides a slightly higher pitch and a more compact, focused crash sound.

Ideal for rock, pop, blues, funk and a wide range of musical styles.

History

The A Zildjian series dates back to 1929 and has become one of the most iconic cymbal lines in drumming history.
