Neve 2254e Compressors Stereo Pair in Neve Rack - Serviced, Sequential Serials

For sale is a pair of vintage Neve 2254E compressors/limiters in excellent overall condition. These units are sequential serial numbers #6903, 6904 and I suspect they've spent their whole life in this original vintage Neve rack with 1777 power supply. I can't remember the last time I've seen these in an actual Neve rack. The rack includes an option to switch between 120 and 240 V supply. These are also the much harder to find E version with the fast Limiter attack option.

They've both been completely recapped and calibrated to work as an excellent stereo pair. They both work beautifully with only one minor issue. The bypass switch on the left unit seems to drop the bypass level for that unit about 3dB lower than the right unit. I suspect a dirty contact or something, but importantly, they match perfectly when the signal actually goes through the units. The bypass is actually a true through bypass.

These things sound amazing and impart that classic Neve heft to anything that goes through. Audio just sounds better even with no compression given the sheer number of vintage transformers these have in the signal path.
