Seymour Duncan SH-15 Alternative 8 Reverse Zebra Pickup

The SH-15 Alternative 8 is a high-output bridge humbucker engineered for aggressive, cutting tones in high-gain applications. Its Alnico 8 magnet delivers powerful response and articulate note definition, making it a serious choice for players who demand clarity without sacrificing output. This is a working pickup for modern rock, metal, and experimental players who refuse compromise on aggression or definition.

Tone & Output Character

The Alnico VIII magnet provides a potent, cutting sound that stands out in dense mix scenarios and high-gain chains. High-output coil design ensures strong signal delivery to your amplifier without flabby low-end or undefined sustain, ideal for palm-muted riffs and lead articulation.

Construction & Wiring

This pickup uses a nickel-silver bottom plate and 4-conductor lead wire for flexible wiring options and coil-split capability. Vacuum wax potting eliminates microphonic feedback and squealing, ensuring stable, controlled performance at any volume.
