Here for sale we have a Fender American Standard Stratocaster in Black finish. Made in the USA in 2000, this guitar features a bolt-on construction comprising an Alder body, Maple neck & 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. Chrome hardware is fitted including a 2-Point Synchronized tremolo with Bent Steel saddles & a set of upgraded locking tuning machines. A trio of Fender American Standard Stratocaster Single-Coil pickups are installed, and are wired to a 5-way blade switch, master volume, neck tone & middle/bridge No-Load tone controls. The Maple neck plays very well, with the Modern ‘C’ profile sitting very comfortably in the hand and promoting ergonomic thumb positioning in all registers. The Satin finish to the rear feels smooth whilst providing an articulate playing experience. The Rosewood fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers and offers a tactile and durable playing surface right up to the 22nd fret. The 9.5" radius works in conjunction with the Medium Jumbo frets to produce a rock solid playing surface which is practical for string bending, vibrato techniques and complex chord voicings alike. The Fender American Standard Stratocaster Single-Coils pickups deliver all the classic Stratocaster tones that you could wish for. The bridge pickup provides bright and glistening trebles with plenty of spank, Power chords and riffs sound gritty, whilst lead tones are crisp and clear. However, with subtler amp settings the bridge offers a bright, glassy clean tone. The middle pickup produces bright trebles and full warm bass, and lends itself well to funky rhythm tones. The neck pickup is round and powerful, great for chordal phrasings or quick jazz style lines, whilst also handling higher gain settings masterfully. The No-Load tone control is notched at '10', where it is completely removed from the circuit to ensure the tone form your pickups is completely unfettered. All aspects of the headstock demonstrate light scratching, scuffing and indentations. Most notably small scratches above the Fender logo and below the Stratocaster logo. The bass side edge demonstrates small indentations in line with the tuners. The tip edge demonstrates light scuffing and indents. None of these markings have removed the finish to reveal the raw wood beneath. Light tooling marks are apparent at the truss rod access.Neck: Overall very good condition. The rear of the neck demonstrates delamination of the finish, most notably along the skunk stripe. This cannot be felt by the hands and is purely cosmetic. The fingerboard demonstrates light scratching and indentation, notably at the 6th fret and to the treble side edge of the 12th. These cannot be felt by the hand in playing position or beneath the strings.Body: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the body demonstrate scratching, scuffing and indentations. The front face demonstrates a notable indentation to the treble side of the bridge. The sides demonstrate scuffing to the bass side horn and lower bout, near where the forearm rests, with further scuffing and indentations around the treble side lower bout. The rear face demonstrates notable scratching and indentations throughout. None of these markings have removed the finish to reveal the bare wood beneath.Condition of Frets:The frets demonstrate moderate signs of use, not affecting playability. Light to mild denting is present to the early register and flattening of the frets is apparent throughout. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.Current Set Up:Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (1/8" hex) is included in the case.Hardware: Fully functional and very good condition. Light scratching and tarnishing is apparent to the tuners, neck plate and bridge. Light oxidisation is apparent to the control knobs. The back plate is included in the case however the screws are missing.
