Selling my Soundcraft D-Mix 500 as part of a studio downsize.
This mixer is extremely rare and almost never comes up for sale — very similar in feel and build quality to the classic Rodec BX/MX series.
I originally planned to keep it, so I recently took it to my trusted synth/Technics specialist for a full check-up and service.
✔ Recent Professional Work Done
Brand-new crossfader installed
(the original produced static noise when moved — now completely smooth and noise-free)
All sliders and pots cleaned internally
Internal cleaning and inspection
Mixer calibrated / serviced
✔ Functionality
Stereo Output 2 works perfectly
All channels, EQs, headphone cue, sliders and crossfader fully working
Phono inputs work great with Technics turntables
❗ Important Note
The main stereo output is NOT working.
My technician attempted repair but due to the age and rarity of this unit, he wasn’t able to restore that section.
Everything else works exactly as it should.
✔ Why I’m Selling
I had the service work done because I intended to keep it, but I’m now fully rearranging my studio and reluctantly letting it go.
This is ideal for:
Collectors
Old-school vinyl DJs
People who love rare analogue mixers
Anyone who can repair the main output or doesn’t need it (Stereo Out 2 works perfectly)
Any questions, feel free to message me.
