Ken Timms Soprano Ukulele 2008 natural

A beautiful hand-built ukulele by English luthier Ken Timms. The design is a reproduction of a Martin Style 0 ukulele, and many argue that Timms' ukuleles are on par with the examples of yesteryear. The reviews speak for themselves. All solid mahogany construction. Cuban mahogany, I think, with a one-piece top and back. Hand-rubbed french polish finish, done by Timms' wife - keep it in the family.

Its price does not at all reflect the instrument's actual quality. Timms keeps the price of the instruments low despite limited quantity and high demand. Out of respect for this, I keep the price low as well, despite the fact that you would have to pay many times this price in order to find an instrument matching the quality of this one.

This example has been well loved over the years, but these days I only play guitar, and wasting a good instrument like this is an absolute shame. The instrument shows signs of wear, which is reflected in the price. You see a photo of the bridge which has lifted a little. It has been this way for many years, and I'd definitely say it is stable by now. A buyer could have this fixed, but as it is, the instrument is highly playable with perfect intonation. It will be shipped in an old, old soft case, which is perfect for shipping purposes but not much else.
