Punchy single-coil tones and the power of humbuckers
The PRS Studio is a modern take on the classic single-coil/humbucker guitar configuration. Featuring PRS’s proprietary Narrowfield pickups in the middle and neck positions, paired with a 58/15 LT humbucker in the bridge, the PRS Studio delivers everything from punchy single-coil sounds and scooped, vintage-style tones to the raw power of a bridge humbucker—all in one instrument. This versatile sonic palette—achievable only with a three-pickup setup—is easily accessible on the Studio model via a push/pull tone control and a 5-way pickup selector. With seven distinct combinations in total, the PRS Studio offers classic tones while maintaining a unique voice, making it the perfect "desert island" guitar.
