Focusrite Blue 315 MKII – Professionally Modded

For sale is my Focusrite Blue 315 MKII in excellent condition.

This is the version without input and output transformers and has been professionally modified and upgraded by Elektroakustik Wagner.

Modifications:

Op-amp upgrade

• 8x genuine Burr-Brown OPA627 op-amps installed at key signal-path positions per channel (NOT the counterfeit clones commonly sold on eBay/AliExpress — often rebranded AD744 chips) - this alone cost 300-500 Euro this days
• Remaining 36 op-amps upgraded from stock 5534 to OPA134

Capacitor upgrade

• All aged electrolytic capacitors replaced (originals had degraded/bulged with age)
• High-grade Panasonic FC electrolytics throughout
• Signal-path coupling capacitors partially replaced with film caps
• Final output coupling stage upgraded to High-End Vishay PP capacitors
• PSU rail capacitors renewed

Additional work

• Driver IC bypassed
• Full preventive resoldering/contact service on all board connectors and thermally/mechanically stressed joints
• Complete audio and function test performed after modification

Note: transformerless model (no input/output transformers).

The modification included a thorough inspection of the unit and replacement of age-related and defective components.

A rare and highly sought-after vintage mastering EQ, particularly interesting in this professionally modified version.

Used exclusively in a professional mastering studio and very carefully maintained.
