Walrus Audio Monument Harmonic Tap Tremolo with Original Box & Protective Pouch - Excellent ConditionA richly voiced tremolo with both standard and harmonic modes, the Walrus Audio Monument is built to cover everything from subtle vintage-style pulse through to much more dramatic rhythmic movement. Its tap-tempo control, selectable subdivisions and multiple waveform shapes make it far more flexible than a basic tremolo pedal, while the harmonic mode gives it the warm, almost phase-like movement associated with classic brownface-style tremolo circuits. The signal is split into high- and low-frequency bands, with each side modulated out of phase with the other. The result is a warmer, more complex movement with an almost swirling or phase-like quality rather than a simple rise and fall in volume. Walrus specifically designed this mode around the character of classic Fender Brownface-style tremolo. The Shape control provides Sine, Square, Ramp, Lumps and Monument/Random waveforms, ranging from smooth and traditional to much more abrupt or unpredictable modulation. The Division control then lets the tapped tempo be converted into different rhythmic subdivisions, making it easy to lock the tremolo into a song rather than relying purely on manual Rate adjustment. That makes it easy to add a short burst of tremolo to a single phrase without leaving the effect permanently engaged. Setting the Depth control to zero and raising the Volume above unity also turns the pedal into a clean boost, giving it another useful role on a pedalboard even when tremolo is not required. A great choice if you want a tremolo that can cover convincing vintage movement as well as more rhythmic and experimental sounds, with enough control to work equally well for subtle texture or as a central part of the arrangement.
