Schecter Riot-4 Session Bass in Aged Natural Satin
The Riot-4 Session is engineered as a workhorse four-string bass for studio tracking, session work, and live performance. Its lightweight swamp ash body pairs with EMG 35DC and 35J pickups and active 3-band EQ to deliver punchy lows and articulate mids without fatigue across extended playing sessions. The 34-inch scale and ergonomic body contours make this a genuine all-day instrument.
Tone and Electronics
The EMG 35DC bridge pickup and EMG 35J neck pickup couple with a Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut and Schecter Custom String Thru bridge to ensure controlled sustain and intonation stability. The Master Volume/Blend with 3-Band EMG Active EQ and 18-volt active electronics provide surgical tone-shaping—dial in anything from vintage warmth to modern punch without reaching for outboard gear.
Playability and Build
A 'C'-shaped maple neck with 24 Narrow X-Jumbo frets on a 12-inch fingerboard radius supports clean articulation and responsive feel across the range. The neck tapers from .826 inches at the 1st fret to .905 inches at the 12th, balancing stability with comfort; a 2-way adjustable truss rod handles seasonal adjustment. Bolt-on construction with flat top and beveled edge contours keeps the bass comfortable during long sessions.
