About this listing
Up for sale is a vintage 1983 Hohner Pianet T passive electromechanical piano in very good cosmetic condition, complete with its original purchase invoice and international railway shipping waybill directly from the Matth. Hohner AG factory in Trossingen, Germany. Cosmetic Condition:The instrument is in very good aesthetic shape inside and out, with clean keys and well-preserved exterior covering. The original metal music stand is included. Please note a minor cosmetic/hardware flaw: the small inner bushings (grommets) inside the music stand mounting holes are missing, meaning the holes are slightly wider than the metal rod, so the stand sits loosely. This can be easily remedied with replacement rubber grommets or a few wraps of black electrical tape around the ends of the stand. Technical & Playing Condition:As demonstrated in the attached YouTube video, the piano works well and the keys sound nice and even across the keyboard, with the exception of the single lowest note (F1), which plays noticeably quieter than the rest.Important note regarding the demo video audio: We do not own a dedicated keyboard or guitar amplifier, so the piano was tested through the Phono input of a vintage National Panasonic boombox solely to demonstrate that the keys work. Because of the Phono input's RIAA equalization and the boombox speakers, the video sounds much darker and boxier than the instrument's true tone through a proper instrument preamp or amplifier.
