About this listing
The Angus Young Signature SG is now in stock! This guitar is from the year Angus Youngfs signature model was first released. Based on the 1968?1970 SG Standard with a large pickguard that he personally owns, this model incorporates his unique preferences throughout its design. The mahogany body, mahogany neck, and rosewood fingerboard, combined with the gAngus Profileh neck shape (which offers a slimmer and narrower grip than a standard SG), enhance playability. The guitar boasts an iconic look, featuring a Maestro Vibrola tailpiece engraved with the gDevil Angush character?drawn by Angus himself?as well as the word gAngus,h lightning bolts, and a lyre. The pickups include the g57 Classich on the neck side?which reproduces the warm tone of a vintage PAF?and the gAngus Young Signature Humbuckerh on the bridge side, known for its edgy crunch sound. Together, they deliver an exquisite balance between the neck and bridge positions, producing a hard rock sound reminiscent of the man himself. With the gDevil Angush even depicted on the cover inside the genuine hard case, this is a model that fans will find irresistible. While the finish was originally designed to replicate a faded look, the red tones have faded even further over time. The entire neck and body have been over-lacquered. There is paint wear visible along the edge of the 1st string side on the back of the neck near the 2nd to 5th frets. There are numerous prominent dents on the top of the body, as well as dents and buckle marks on the back of the body, and numerous dents around the perimeter of both the body and the headstock. Additionally, there are scuffs and scratches commensurate with its age, as well as tarnish and rust on the metal parts. Due to previous fret leveling work, the crest of the first-string side of the frets has been removed, resulting in a gentle slope toward the binding; therefore, depending on how you use the vibrato bar, the string may slip off.
