Compared to harder materials such as plastic or wood, felt offers a rounder attack without completely sacrificing a clearly defined attack. This makes the beater suitable for a variety of musical styles and bass drum tunings.Short shaft for direct responseThe 6" long shaft promotes direct pedal response and a fast rebound. Weighing around 87 g, the beater remains light and responsive. A rounded sound with a controlled attackWhen striking the bass drum head, the felt head produces a warm and controlled fundamental tone. Compared to beaters with a harder striking surface, the attack is less sharp, yet remains distinct enough to deliver a defined bass drum strike.
