Kyle McMillin became a Fender Custom Shop Master Builder in 2018 after spending over 15 years with the company.
Prior to becoming a Master Builder, McMillin worked in various departments across the Fender factory for 15 years, building an end-to-end understanding of instrument design and manufacturing.
He completed an intensive 5-year apprenticeship directly under Principal Master Builder Yuriy Shishkov. During this period alone, McMillin worked on nearly 1,000 guitars, honing his skill in intricate inlay work, fine woodwork, and high-level custom builds.
