Dwarfcraft Devices bills the Ghost Fax as a phase computer, spicing up a traditionally analog effect with some new and exciting capabilities. The pedal has four modes—standard, manual, envelope up, and envelope down—and users can choose the number of all-pass filters used in the phase via the poles knob. When set for high feedback, switching up poles can create unique and percussive tones reminiscent of a modular synth patch. And if players hold down both the pause and bypass switches at the same time, you unlock an additional bank of controls depending on which mode you're in.
