Overview
The Audio-Technica AT4050ST is a dual-capsule stereo version of the standard AT4050. One cardioid capsule sits at the bottom of the headbasket, and one bidirectional capsule is immediately on top of that, creating a Mid-Side (M/S) configuration. An internal matrix gives the AT4050ST the ability to switch between two "standard" stereo modes and the M/S mode.
As with the AT4050, it features switchable attenuation and high-pass filter, transformerless electronics and an especially thin dual-diaphragm capsule. A shockmount is provided.
