There are light surface scratches, most notably one longer scratch across the upper-center of the faceplate, visible under certain lighting conditions but not visible once a pair of 10.5" reels is mounted. Aside from the noted scratches, the faceplate, meters, reel hubs, and controls all present cleanly.
