The RoXdon VU-REFERENCE Master VU meter is a 2-channel (left & right) Professional Analog VU Meter featuring accurate, high quality vintage style VU meters housed in a aluminium diecast box. The VU-REFERENCE is intended to be used in a studio recording setup for measurement of recording output levels.
The VU-REFERENCE is ideal for measuring final Mixdown or Mastering levels. Compared to a LED meter, a VU has a slower attack time which allows the faster transients to get by before it registers the signal and gives a reading. Because of these characteristics a VU meter is fairly accurate and preferable when measuring overall level of your program material.
The VU-REFERENCE meters are calibrated for the Pro Audio level standard, 0VU = +4dBu (1.228V into a 600 ohm load) and are driven by individual VU buffer driver circuits.
The unit is powered by an external International Power Supply which includes UK, EU, USA & Australian adapters. A convenient on-off power switch is located on the front panel.
