Fender Tremolux Blackface 1964 Head
The Tremolux belongs to the early period of Blackface production, before CBS acquired Fender. This model uses the AB763 circuit, introduced in late 1963, and features two 6L6GC power tubes, delivering approximately 35 watts into 4 ohms, and a preamp with multiple 12AX7 and one 12AT7 tubes. It has two channels: a standard channel and a vibrato channel with tremolo. In 1964, a "bright" switch was added to the circuit, distinguishing this year's models from the early 1963 Blackfaces. Sonically, it is renowned for its warm clean tones and natural tremolo, which are associated with blues and vintage rock styles. As this particular model is of US origin, a converter has been installed.
