If you are looking for near-zero latency, pristine audio conversion, and plenty of expandable I/O, this is one of the fastest units ever built. It features 8 recallable XMAX Class A preamps, 26 inputs, and 32 outputs. The unit is in excellent working condition and comes from a smoke-free studio environment.

⚠️ COMPATIBILITY & SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

Because this is a high-performance, legacy Thunderbolt 2 device, please review the technical requirements below carefully before purchasing to ensure it will work with your system.

For Mac Users:

• Connection: Native Thunderbolt 2 port, or a modern Thunderbolt 3/4 port via an Apple Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to Thunderbolt 2 Adapter (used in tandem with the included TB2 cable).
• Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3/M4/M5 series): Fully supported via PreSonus Universal Control. However, because the Quantum uses a custom kernel-level low-latency driver, you must set your Mac to "Reduced Security" in Recovery Mode to allow the System Extension to load.
• Operating Systems: Supported up to current macOS versions, but requires manual driver authorization in System Settings > Privacy & Security during installation.

For Windows Users:

• Connection: Requires a motherboard with a dedicated Intel Thunderbolt chip. Standard USB-C ports will not work.
• Thunderbolt 4 PCs: Intel states that Thunderbolt 2 is natively unsupported on Windows Thunderbolt 4 controllers. PC motherboard makers generally dropped TB2 backward compatibility on TB4 hosts. If your PC has TB4 ports, this interface will likely not be recognized.
• Thunderbolt 3 PCs: Works great, but PreSonus recommends using a StarTech Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 Adapter. Do not use the Apple adapter on Windows machines, as it frequently causes connection dropouts.
• ARM Processors: Windows Snapdragon/ARM systems are not supported.
