The AKG D190 CS features a slim, cylindrical housing with a fine metal grille and understated industrial elegance. Made in Austria, it reflects AKG’s classic build philosophy: durable, precise, and purpose-driven.
the microphone uses a dynamic capsule tuned for clear articulation and controlled proximity effect. The design is more balance over flavour, making it suitable for a wide range of voice and instrument applications. The CS Version features on on board stable on/off switch and its connectivity is via a small Tuchel connector.

SOUND CHARACTERISTICS

The D190 CR delivers a focused, natural midrange with very good speech clarity. High frequencies are smooth and controlled rather than hyped, while the low end remains tight and usable without excessive proximity buildup.
In practice, it works beautifully for spoken word, vocals, guitar cabinets, and even snare close-miking when a controlled tone is desired.
