About this listing
used professional bass head, Peavey Tour 700, excellent condition. Common signs of wear and tear. Power: 500 watts RMS into 4 Ω as minimum load. Tones: Low tones (LOW) at 8 Ω: ±15dB @ 50Hz; 700 watts: ±15dB @ 40Hz, 63Hz, 100Hz, 160Hz, 250Hz, 400Hz, 800Hz, 1.6kHz, 3.2kHz; Graphic EQ treble (HIGH) @ 5kHz. Additional tone controls: LOW CUT: ±15dB with predetermined cut @ 80Hz; CONTOUR: cutting mid frequencies with bass and treble amplification, adjustable; BRIGHT: +10dB @ 10kHz. XLR Direct interface and LOW CUT button for quick noise elimination. The amplifier uses a differential operational amplifier to reduce interference (GROUND LIFT). The author overcame the fear of graphic EQ, adapting it to boost mid tones on a fingerstyle guitar or to boost high tones on a Fender Jazz with an Audere preamp. The construction of the 700 is excellent, with a thick and sturdy case and tightly mounted components. Nothing fancy, just good design and craftsmanship – an approach that pays off in the long run. The Class AB amplifier uses Peavey's "SmartRail Technology", which improves efficiency by adjusting the rail voltage according to the input signal. In practice, the Tour 700 sounded loud, balanced, and dynamically responsive, with no significant irregularities across the frequency spectrum. Technical specifications: Amplifier topology: Class AB Weight: 23 lbs (approx. 10.4 kg).
