A Collectors dream !!My Gibson Centennial LP Special serial# 1914 in near mint condition. This highly collectible guitar was issued in 1994 as the first in a serial of 12 models (one model per month) with special appointments to commemorate Gibson's 100th Anniversary. These instruments were produced in a run of no more than 101 per model, serial numbered from 1894 to 1994. This Guitar is new old stock, has never been played and spent all of her life in her display cabinet. I also have the black leather case and the black nylon casecover and paperwork and Anniversary Certificate, the blue silk ribbon, but never got the ring. She comes with gold plated hardware => knobs, stoptail piece, bridge. The headstock is adorned with a diamond inlayed as the dot above the >i< in Gibson. The bridge is made with >1914< silver soldered on the top of it with 5 smaller diamonds inlayed into the >1<. The fretboard is inlayed with a MOP-banner at the 12th fret which is inscribed 1894-1994 100th Anniversary.Special limited edition appointments included:
– 11 pt. Diamond on the Gibson headstock logo
– 5 pts. Diamonds on 22 carat plated top hat knobs with embedded 100 year anniversary logo
– Jeweled sterling silver serial number embedded on the tailpiece
– Mother of pearl inlays including 12th fret inlay saying “100th Anniversary 1894 1994”
– Each guitar numbered in series from 1894 to 1994, signifying Gibson’s 100 years.
– 22 carat gold plated anniversary Orville Gibson coin embedded on the back of the headstock. These guitars listed for US$ 10.000,- when new.
